Humanex students meet the following academic, social, and emotional criteria:
- A desire to engage and participate in the Humanex Academy community.
- Benefit from a school program that focuses equally on academic and emotional growth.
- Ability to positively interact with peers and adults within the building.
- Ability to take redirection and support from staff as needed.
In order for us to maintain our program effectively and meet the needs of our student population, Humanex Academy does not accept students who:
- Require intensive one-on-one academic support.
- Have a history of significant disruptive behavior or physical aggression within a school environment.
- Are currently using drug or alcohol.
Admissions Call
Our Head of School, Kati Cahill, will send you a link to set up a time to call you to review your Inquiry Intake Form and share more about the Humanex Academy model. During this call, we will request you submit testing.
Submission of Testing for Review
After the Admissions Call, we will request submission of any neuropsychological testing as well as any psychoeducational testing such as IEP or 504 Plans for review.
Tour of Humanex Academy
After your Admissions Call and Submission of Testing, we will send you a link to set up a Tour of Humanex Academy. The average Tour takes about one hour. You will have the opportunity to tour Humanex, visit classrooms, and have an in-depth conversation with our Head of School and Psychologist regarding the specific academic and social needs of your student.
Student Visit Days
After the Tour of Humanex Academy, we will set up two consecutive Student Visit Days for your student. We will provide your student with a grade appropriate schedule to follow during their Visit. We believe this gives everyone (student, staff, and family) the opportunity to see Humanex Academy will be a "good" fit.
Acceptance Decision
After Visit Days, we will request our staff to provide teacher feedback regarding how the Visit Days. All feedback will be reviewed and considered. You will be contacted with an Acceptance Decision.
Please note: Humanex Academy has a Rolling Admissions policy. We accept students throughout a school year if there is space available in the grade level your student is applying to.
Enrollment Packet
Your Enrollment Packet includes the following items:
- A $1,000 non-refundable deposit check, made out to Humanex Academy, is due with your application. You are welcome to mail in the deposit check to: Humanex Academy, 2700 South Zuni Street, Englewood, CO 80110 or simply drop it off in person at our front desk
- A completed 2026-2027 online Application for Admission
- Transcript(s) from other school(s), if applicable
