At Humanex Academy, we do school differently. We are not just a school – we are a community built on trust, growth, and the belief that academic success stems from strong relationships and personal development. Our mission is to support neurodivergent students in a safe, structured, and encouraging environment where they can build confidence, social-emotional strength, and academic competence at a pace and in a way that makes sense to them.
What Your Tuition Covers
Tuition at Humanex Academy includes much more than traditional classroom instruction. It supports an intentionally crafted learning experience designed around the whole student.
Here is what is included:
Small Class Sizes: With fewer students per class, teachers can connect meaningfully with each learner and adapt instruction based on real-time needs.
Customized Learning Paths: Students progress through coursework in a way that reflects their current readiness – not arbitrary timelines – ensuring deeper understanding and long-term success.
Social Coaching & Relationship-Based Support: Students receive in-the-moment guidance from staff trained in communication, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation. Our full-time psychologist, Dr. Tom Welch, is deeply embedded in our daily programming and student culture. We also host psychology interns annually from the University of Denver to provide added support.
Learning Specialist Support: Our Learning Specialist, Sarah Baker, helps students and families navigate IEP-to-ISP transitions, supports students in classrooms, and collaborates with teachers to ensure effective accommodations and differentiated instruction are consistently implemented.
Executive Functioning Scaffolds: We build systems and routines into the school day that help students grow in time management, task initiation, organization, and independence.
Real-World Learning Experiences: Field trips, community-based projects, and volunteer opportunities extend learning beyond the classroom, helping students connect their education to life.
Transition Planning: For high schoolers, we provide individualized support for the post-secondary journey, including college and trade school preparation, internships, and senior seminar.
All Instructional Materials & Programming: Tuition covers course materials, school supplies (as needed), access to technology, and enrichment programming.

We understand that tuition is a significant investment. That is why we offer financial need-based scholarships and flexible payment options. After your family tours Humanex Academy, we will walk you through tuition details and work together to find a plan that makes our program accessible to your student.
Please Note: Afterschool clubs are offered for an additional cost and vary by semester.
