I love working at Humanex Academy because is an incredible school where our small environment allows us to collaborate as a staff to create the best possible middle and high school experiences for our neurodiverse students. I truly believe that every human is a learner and that their uniqueness is essential to our world. I love working with staff to hone their craft and coaching them to build a classroom that meets all learners’ needs while building on each teachers’ strengths. I love helping students build their toolbox of skills for success after graduation and to help them explore the options that exist in the world. When we can help students experience success and realize their own potential and strengths, so many doors open up to new opportunities. I believe that communication is key and feel strongly that working with families is essential to their student’s success at Humanex and beyond. When we adapt our environment and methods to fit the learner rather than trying to change the learner to fit the environment, we see children thrive and become independent and confident adults.
